Blackwing Decent
Last night I finally ran a complete run through BWD for the first time. I ran with another guild besides my own, one that a couple of in-game friends are members of. We started around 10pm and ran until midnight, server time, and 1-shot all bosses. It was the most fun I have had raiding in quite some time, probably ever since Cataclysm dropped.
The GM of this guild is a friend from another guild I used to be a member of, and she keeps asking me to move Launch over and join them. Perhaps I will, I haven’t decided yet though. But if runs are quick and easy as they were last night, it sure does give me incentive to join them.
Update on my Status –
I took about 6 weeks off from WoW, around mid-April. I started playing again around the beginning of June and have been running very little. I did a raid last week and we only downed 2 bosses, which was actually all we had planned to do, due to time constraints. I run some heroics with my 85s, especially if other guildies are on because of the new Guild Rep you can get with having 3+ guildies in a random heroic. 300,000XP and 125Gold goes into the guild each time you team up, up to 7 heroics a week.
Lately my interest has lied in running Burning Crusade content. My 70 Disc Priest is geared in many 70-level purples and I enjoy grinding rep and running these older heroics. At the same time, I have been working on The DK, using him as a tank in Northrend regular dungeons. He is currently level 74. My plan for him is to lock him at level 80, like I locked my Priest at level 70, and run Lich King content only with him. I have 4 85-level toons and dont’ really think I need any more at this point, so I though freezing these 2 toons would be a fun way to enjoy other parts of the game.
I’ll try and update posts more often, moving forward. My interest and time spent in WoW isn’t what it used to be, but I still enjoy playing sometimes.

Blog Update
Hi all -
Thanks to those of you who have emailed me or posted here, asking about updates to this blog. No, I am not ending it; and yes, I am still playing WoW.
My time has been filled up lately with a new job I got back in October, and then with a promotion that I got in March. It wasn’t my intention to leave this blog unposted for so long.
I will be starting back up the monthly give-aways in April. Look for a post on April 1 about a new giveaway.
I will also be posting in Azgalor general chat about giving away 1000 gold to a random person to come and comment on this blog.
All giveaways, but in and out of game, will consist of people making comments on my posts here. My attempt is to drive up the traffic on this site, and that also means posting more often about things that people are doing in WoW and are interested in.
I also welcome any guest posters who might be interested in throwing up an article every now and then. Even if it is only 1 time, don’t hesitate to ask me about it. Shoot me an email over to Launch@AzgalorNights.com and I will reply to you.
The Exalted
My newest goal is to go forward towards getting the title “Launch, The Exalted” which hails from obtaining 40 exalted reputations in the game. At the time of this post I am at 29 reputations. My plan is to finish the 2 Cataclysm reps that I don’t have, which are Ramkahen and Guardians of Hyjal; then I will continue working on Outlands factions by simply grinding Heroic dungeons; then I will have 5 or 6 remaining, which I will get from some PVP battles and from old world achivements.
I’ve mainly been working on Outlands reputation lately because they are easy to grind out by yourself. Soloing Heroic BC dungeons is quite simple as an 85 Enhancement Shaman. I am currently exalted with Thrallmar and Cenarion Expedition, so Lower City, The Sha’Tar and Keepers of Time are remaining. I have also been running Heroic Mana Tombs almost once a day for the reputation gains with The Consortium. And I will continue on Magister’s Terrace and also doing Isle of Quel’Danas daily quests in working towards Shattered Sun Offensive reputation.
I’ll blog more when I get the 30-reputation achievement and update my progress a few times in this blog.

January Blog Post
Hey guys, sorry I haven’t posted in a few weeks. I am NOT quitting, lol. I’ve read many WoW blogs lately where the blogger doesn’t post for a while, then he comes back and posts a “final post” and tells how they have quit WoW. Well that isn’t me, at least not now. I might quit some day, but why would I right after an expansion drops?
My guild ran Baradin Hold last Sunday night. Easy fight, 1 boss. This is the “VOA” of Cataclysm, so the entrance is in Tol Barad and the boss drops PVP loot. He can drop PVE loot also, but last week he didn’t for us.
I’ll be back and blogging almost daily again soon. And I will still be doing the monthly give-away on the 1st of every month. I think in February I will be giving away an in-game pet from the Blizzard store. Actually, it will probably be 2 pets. I also have a brand new Battle Chest that I will be giving away, and I have CDs and license keys for the Vanilla game, Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King also; all of this I will be giving away on this site. And yes, I will be throwing a 60-Day Game Time Card in there at times also.
Everyone have a great time in WoW, hope to see you in Azgalor!
