I wanted to write a post that lists my toons and their levels at the time of the Cataclysm release. I wish that I had done this when Lich King dropped, but I never thought about it. So here goes:

The Warrior – 80
The Mage – 80
Launch, My Shaman – 80
The Paladin – 80
The Druid – newest 80, only hit 80 about a month before
The Hunter – just hit 70
The Deathknight – 68
The Warlock - 79. He is on my 2nd account right now, and I rarely play him
The Priest – 70 and holding. I turned off XP on him to run him in BC heroics, just for something different to do. However, I haven’t logged him in for about 2-3 months.
The Rogue - my lowbie. 42 at the time of this post.

I also have a lowbie Shaman who is 40, and a new Goblin Warrior that I just started to do the beginning Goblin quests. Some of us in the guild have started some new toons with plans to do dungeons on them for all the guild dungeon achievements, which should be quite fun.

One of my lasts posts was about my Priest getting to 70 and running Heroics in Outlands. The Druid started down this same road yesterday. I am not planning on turning off XP for the Druid, he is going to be my next 80, most likely. But I do want to shoot for the achievements towards Outlands Dungeon Master and Outlands Dungeon Hero.

Queuing for BC Heroics on the Priest has proved somewhat challenging. Most of the time we are waiting for a tank like any random queue, but there have been several times where I waited for some DPS to queue also. Not as many people seem to be queuing for these as I had hoped would, so it is going to take longer to get these achievements than I had planned. But no matter, it is still quite fun trying for it.

IT IS CONFIRMED!

I’ve wondered since the LFD system was released 1 or 2 patches ago, if Random Heroics at level 70 were possible. I never had a toon between 70-75, which I believe is the range limit, since the LFD system was released. However, the Priest hit 70 yesterday and now he has the option to choose a random BC heroic. I also found that there is an NPC in Orgrimmar that you can speak with to turn off your gain of XP. This is my plan for The Priest.

Someone asked me yesterday why I wanted to do this, because the Green gear in the WotLK dungeons is mostly better than the Heroic gear in Outlands, so I will give my answer here:

Outlands Heroics are something different than the usual grind right now. I have 4 80s, and they all have raid-level gear, much higher than the WotLK Heroics, and those Heroic Dungeons are getting boring. So I want to do something “new” and by “new” I mean different than what I have been doing. LFD didn’t exist when 70 was the highest level in the game, so it was always hard for me to find a heroic instance in Outlands. Now I can do that, so that is what I plan to do… just for fun.

I was in one of the Sha’Tar dungeons just now with a Warrior tank named Airlinth from the realm Mannoroth. What a dillweed. He gets the drop from the first boss, which is a tanking back piece, then he ninja-logs.

Don’t freaking queue if you are just going to do that, it wastes everyone else’s time.

My new Priest dinged 60 yesterday. The guy on the end of our 5-man RAF chain that we created (I referred 1 guy, who referred another, who referred another… etc. There were 5 of us) got to 59 on his RAF toon, so he granted the next guy up, and it went up the chain from there. My Priest got granted from 53-59 yesterday, then I queued for a dungeon and dinged 60.

At 58 you can queue for Outlands dungeons or the higher Old World ones. I didn’t quite want to go to Outlands yet, I have been enjoying running the older dungeons and getting achievements. So I queued for Dire Maul, LBRS, Stratholme and Scholomance. LBRS was the first one to pop, and that was an enjoyable run. I do not think I have ever actually been into that dungeon before, so it was nice to see something “new”.

Tonight I think I will do the same thing again and hopefully get Strat, Scholo or DM for the achievement runs.

When I originally created the categories on this site, they were for other toons who I have since deleted. Well, 2 of them were, anyway.

I originally had a Druid Thunderchicken named “Netherjape” that was around 60 when I deleted him. I tried questing with him and doing a couple of dungeons, but I just found that spec boring. I ended up deleting him to make room for another toon.

I also had a priest for a while that I deleted due to non-play. I forget his name, honestly. He was also around 60 when I deleted him but he was level granted several levels through the Refer-a-friend bonus, so I didn’t actually “play” him as much as it seemed like I did. I found him to be boring also, so I deleted him to make room for another again.

Then the LFD system opened up with a new patch….

I started a new druid and decided to level him as resto, since that is my favorite job in the game with my 80 Shaman and Pally. You are elligible for LFD at level 15, so I had to quest with him up to there, then it has been LFD and a few dungeon quests ever since, with him now sitting at level 47. I usually let him sit for a week or so before running him for a couple of days and burning up all his rest bonus, then I will put him down again.

Same thing with a new Priest and a new Shammy I started (I am addicted to Shammies, sue me…) The priest I ran with some other friends through RAF again (this was my 6th experience with RAF) and we mostly did LFD leveling with those guys. The priest is 52 at the time of this post. My new Shammy is only 26 but I am enjoying getting SP and Spirit gear on him to be a healer through LFD.

I don’t think I have blogged about this yet, but I started a new priest a few weeks ago on the Recruit-a-Friend program with yet another person (this is my 4th refer bonus reward) This was a random person in my guild who I did not know, that wanted to run up a couple of toons to 60 with the Triple XP. So I deleted my first priest and started a new one. We ran together up to 30, then I put the priest down and ran my Hunter with him, who dinged 50 over the weekend. So yesterday, I got him to login while my priest was online and lvl grant me from 30 to 47.

I had a good time this weekend, running the priest around Silverpine Forest and The Barrnes, picking flowers. I leveled his Herbalism several levels and used the mats to level his Inscriptions. When I learned how to make Glyphs, the very low, first few ones, I made one of each and put them on the Auction House. They are selling for anywhere from 8-29 Gold. It seems that right now, Inscriptions is a good way to make money, so I will definately be continuing with this process!
