I originally had a Druid Thunderchicken named “Netherjape” that was around 60 when I deleted him.  I tried questing with him and doing a couple of dungeons, but I just found that spec boring.  I ended up deleting him to make room for another toon.

I also had a priest for a while that I deleted due to non-play.  I forget his name, honestly.  He was also around 60 when I deleted him but he was level granted several levels through the Refer-a-friend bonus, so I didn’t actually “play” him as much as it seemed like I did.  I found him to be boring also, so I deleted him to make room for another again.

Then the LFD system opened up with a new patch….

I started a new druid and decided to level him as resto, since that is my favorite job in the game with my 80 Shaman and Pally.  You are elligible for LFD at level 15, so I had to quest with him up to there, then it has been LFD and a few dungeon quests ever since, with him now sitting at level 47.  I usually let him sit for a week or so before running him for a couple of days and burning up all his rest bonus, then I will put him down again.

Same thing with a new Priest and a new Shammy I started (I am addicted to Shammies, sue me…)  The priest I ran with some other friends through RAF again (this was my 6th experience with RAF) and we mostly did LFD leveling with those guys.  The priest is 52 at the time of this post.  My new Shammy is only 26 but I am enjoying getting SP and Spirit gear on him to be a healer through LFD.

When you reach Friendly, you are able to pickup and turn in a quest to a quest giver inside of the raid.  You are able to choose a ring for whatever spec you are rolling.  The ring is then upgraded when you reach Honored, Revered, and then lastly at Exalted.  I am posting the Resto Shammy rings below because those are the ones I got.  These rings would also work for a Holy Paladin.  They have MP5 stats on them, which is technically not for a Priest, but there are no other options for healers, so most Priests will use these too…. Holy or Discipline.

When you reach Exalted with Netherwing, an additional quest shows up on Netherwing Ledge where Illidan actually comes and talks to you, threatens you, and the drake that flys over Shadowmoon Valley all the time (I forget his name) comes and rescues you.  He takes you back to Shat, you turn in the quest, and choose 1 drake out of the 6 or 7 there, and that is the drake you have from now one.  I see no other way to get an additional drake, at this point.  The drake doesn’t cost any money.

Also, I dinged 72 on my Prot Pally this evening.

The Mage is 80 and running daily Heroics for badges now.  With the 3.2 patch that came out last week, we can get some cool new gear from the Emblem of Conquest Quatermaster in Dalaran.  Several good pieces of item level 226 gear here.

The Shaman is doing well, he got his Ambassador title from doing the Argent Tournament Dailies for all 5 Horde cities, then got Exhalted with Sunreavers, and then with Argent Crusade.  The 5 cities plus Argent Crusade gives you the title “Crusader”  It also opens up 2 new Daily Champion quests, and the Sunreavers have 3 new quests.  All together, with the 4 original Champion quests, I can get 10 Champion Seals per day.  TONIGHT I will have my Argent Hippogryph.  W00t.

Last night we ran a 25-man Naxx which went pretty well. It was mostly a guild run, but we did have some PUGs also, and a few guildies who were new 80s.  We did just fine up to Thaddius where we died 3 or 4 times from the Polarity shifts.  I left shortly after that, not because I was upset, but I had to log off the game for a bit to go do something else.  I logged back in around 10pm ST and they were on Sapphiron: Kel’Thuzad’s gigantic frost wyrm guardian.  They downed him and I assume went on to KT, although I didn’t stay on long enough to find out.  Overall it wasn’t a bad run, but the run a couple of weeks ago went much smoother.

Anyway, I now have 6 pieces of T7, level 213, gear.  My bonus heals are around 1660 with no buff, 1850 with a self-buff (earthliving weapon)  I’ve been running Heroics for achievements and mount drops.

Last night we ran H VH, H CoS and H UP and I healed all of them fine.  No wipes in any of them, but we had some pretty sicked DPS also, so the team was able to burn down all the bosses pretty fast.  This new guild is working out quite nicely.  My 80 Prot Pally is already a member, and I am thinking of moving my 63 Mage over to that guild once he hits 70.

I started on these 2 quest lines with the Resto Shammy last week, who is now 73 (should ding 74 tonight)  The main reason for doing these rep daily quests is for the 2 mounts that they give, Netherwing gives the Netherdrake and Sha’Tari gives the Nether Ray.  I’m really enjoying the Resto Shammy, I got agro from a 72 Elite in Skettis when I was out there at 71.  I used every CD I had and healed myself 4-5 times, but I killed him.  He is becoming my favorite toon very fast.
