Hallow’s End Achievement

October 29th, 2009 No comments

I got this achievment last week on The Warrior and this completed ALL World Events for this toon, getting me the What A Long, Strange Trip It’s Been achievement and the Violet Proto-Drake.

I’ve now started working on the Shaman for the same achievement.  He has a few of them, including Hallow’s End and Brewfest, but he still needs 4 or 5 more of them.

Here are the achievements for Hallow’s End

* Trick or Treat! – done at any Innkeeper in the game
* Out With It – eat so much candy that you puke.  this is easiest done with the sweets you get from the Headless Horseman quest after killing him.  They look like pumpkins.
* Bring Me The Head of… Oh Wait – Kill the Headless Horseman (5 man quest)
* The Savior of Hallow’s End – Put out fires in Brill, Razor Hill or Falconwing Square when the Headless Horseman attacks
* That Sparkling Smile – loot a toothpick from any Innkeeper by Trick-or-Treating.
* Rotten Hallow – Get 2 quests outside of Undercity on the road to Sepulcher.  Take those quests to Southshore, in Hillsbrad Foothills, turn one of them in inside the inn, and throw stink bombs in the center of town.
* G.N.E.R.D. Rage – kill 50 allies while having the GNERDS buff.  These are candy you get from the Innkeeper every hour.  This achievement is easy to get in Wintergrasp.
* Check Your Head – From the daily quests or from the Headless Horseman, you get pumpkins to throw at other players.  Do this for each class and you get the achievement.
* The Masquerade – This part is NOT needed for the Hallow’s End title or achievement.
* Sinister Calling – Loot a Squashling Pet and a Helm from the Headless Horseman OR from the Innkeeper Trick-or-Treat loot.
* Tricks and Treats of Azeroth – Go to all Inns in Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor and Outlands, getting candy from the big Pumpkin with the ! over it.  This gives good XP if you aren’t 80 and 6g63s if you are 80.

Don’t try to Gank a Paladin…

September 10th, 2009 No comments

Last night while I was finishing up the Nothing Boring about Borean Quest Achievement, a 68 Death Knight attacked me while I was fighting a mob.

Anyone who says DKs aren’t OP don’t know what they are talking about.  He was 4 levels below me, and he almost had me.  I did kill him, though, so he did NOT win.  But, I was impressed with the fight he put up.  I thought about camping him, but I didn’t because I don’t like to be like this Alliance tards that can’t PvP in BGs, so they attack people while questing and camp them.  He attacked me, and after a good 2- minute fight, I got him.

I am curious to see how I would have done as Ret spec, but I am Prot right now.  I didn’t take as much damage as Prot, I assume, but I could have killed him faster as Ret, I think.  I am wearing several tanking pieces, but of course those are PvE items.

Anyway, that was a fun fight.  I am somewhat glad he attacked me.  For too long in WoW I have played an under-powered, under-geared warrior who can’t PvP at all.  It’s nice to be able to fight back for a change.

Champion of the Frozen Wastes

Finally, after waiting around for a few months on an Occulus run, I got this achievement tonight.  Basically you have to do everyone dungeon in Northrend on Heroic mode, then you have to do Naxx, EOE and OS, any of those on either 10 or 25 man mode, to get this achievement.  Sadly I did the raids a long time ago and I am just now doing Occulus which was my last H Dungeon.  I just hate that one so much.

Also, I dinged 72 on my Prot Pally this evening.

Tome of Cold Weather Flight

August 18th, 2009 No comments

My Paladin is going to be my next 80, so I have been playing him out in Outlands recently, trying to get him to 68 so he can come to Northrend.  I reached 68 last night, and started doing some research on this Tome I have been hearing about.  Turns out, for 1000g you can buy a book from the Cold Weather Flying Trainer in Dalaran (perhaps elsewhere also) and the book is BoA (Bind to Account) so you can send it to one of your alts.  The requirements are that the toon needs to have basic flight skill, level 225, and needs to be Level 68.  So of course I bought this today, and now my Paladin, who is just starting with NR quests, is going to be able to fly to all these places to get leveled.  This should be fun :D

UPDATE – Argent Tournament and Champion Seals

August 11th, 2009 No comments

Wow, sorry I have been lagging behind on this site.  Been playing too much WoW LOL.

The Mage is 80 and running daily Heroics for badges now.  With the 3.2 patch that came out last week, we can get some cool new gear from the Emblem of Conquest Quatermaster in Dalaran.  Several good pieces of item level 226 gear here.

The Shaman is doing well, he got his Ambassador title from doing the Argent Tournament Dailies for all 5 Horde cities, then got Exhalted with Sunreavers, and then with Argent Crusade.  The 5 cities plus Argent Crusade gives you the title “Crusader”  It also opens up 2 new Daily Champion quests, and the Sunreavers have 3 new quests.  All together, with the 4 original Champion quests, I can get 10 Champion Seals per day.  TONIGHT I will have my Argent Hippogryph.  W00t.

More updates later on the Argent Tournament quests…

Midsummer Festival Achievment

If you don’t want the achievement, I suggest still doing these for the gold.

There are 38 Horde fires and 40 Ally fires. If you take an 80 to all of them, and assume 6g for Horde fires and 13g for Ally fires (its actually MORE because it also gives about 50 silver as well) that is 748 Gold… just for flying/running around and clicking on fires

Ding 58, end of 3XP

June 10th, 2009 No comments

I am friended with 2 other players right now, and the first one is expiring tomorrow.  So obviously we wanted to get as close to 60 as possible, and honestly 58 was enough for me since that is where the Outlands quests start in Thrallmar.  Last night we got another run in Stratholme and both dinged 58.  My hunter actually hit 59 and my friend, which is a Warrior, hit 58.  So we will be starting in Thrallmar this weekend.

Battle for The Undercity – Again

June 4th, 2009 No comments

This is the 3rd time I have done this quest and questline and I never get tired of it.  The Mage is 72 right now, so a friend of mine who has a 71 Priest went and ran the whole quest line in about 2 days.  I loved watching the video, seeing the town burn in DB and then talking to Thrall in Orgrimmar.    Fighting along side Thrall and Sylvannas is quite fun.  I am looking forward to running it again on The Hunter once he reaches that level.  Of course I have screen shots of the even before it starts, as I do on my other 2 toons, I’ll try and post one in here soon.
